This COVID-19 situation is going crazy. We are seeing unprecedented moves from government and businesses alike: a transition to work from home and mandatory/recommended closures. It is simply changing the way everyone does business. At ScreenBroidery, we are very lucky we have financial stability and a process able to conduct business in many ways and locations. Unfortunately, many are not as lucky.

The closures throughout the world are mind-blowing. I never thought I would see such a recommendation/mandate in our country. Most bars, restaurants, fitness centers, concert venues, and hospitality centers shutting down for two weeks hurts all aspects of their business. The effects all of this has on the Indianapolis area really hits home. They have stocked up for what is traditionally a mega quarter with March Madness, a Pacer’s Playoff run, St. Patrick’s Day, and right into the Indianapolis 500 craze; and now, not knowing if they can afford to stay in business. In the timespan of one week, they went from profiting thousands of dollars a day, to possibly going out of business.

With all of the negative “doomsday” messaging and real business struggles, let’s do something positive! It’s a message I hope we all will send – for the success and mental stability of your customer’s business as well as yours. We could all use a glimpse of positivity during this time of social distancing and isolation.

At ScreenBroidery, we sell merchandise and have fulfillment/drop ship capabilities (so we can take a bulk order and divide up to send to a number of individuals). For customers hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are sending messages of support and encouragement. A simple note and gift that says, “We are thinking of you during these tough times. If there is something we can do to help, please let us know!”

These tough times are going to turn, and customers want to know someone is there for them in both the good times and the bad. And when the good times come back around, who will they think of first?

Here are some gifting ideas to think about – our hope is that they will brighten someone’s day as we all try to navigate through this unfamiliar territory. We can, and will get through this together. With all of the negative, let’s do something positive!
