Have you noticed the difference between a well-made jacket that sells for $250 compared to a $50 jacket? Sure, they both accomplish the same functional objective, but the $250 jacket just has small, thoughtful details that make it fashionable. It may have a tactfully placed logo, a branded zipper, or a custom woven hem tag as the only branded item. I will guess that you take pride in wearing the $250 jacket and secretly want people to see you wearing it. The craftsmanship and details you expect in the "retail world" should be no different when entering the "promo world." At ScreenBroidery, we are raising company apparel standards to become more retail by adding decoration details that create the same sense of pride when you, your team, and customers wear them.

These retail add-ons are affordable and create a higher perceived value when it's received. It makes a piece feel like it came out of Nordstrom and not off the back of a delivery truck. It creates a perception that a $10 shirt is a fashion-forward $50 retail item. This results in a more valuable company purchase because employees and customers start to proudly wear these pieces inside and outside the office, as they would a name brand item, prompting more exposure.

Our ScreenBroidery team loves meeting with our product supplier reps. These presentation makes us more knowledgeable, allows us to find unique items for specific customers, and help us understand challenges in the marketplace like supply chain disruptions. One supplier rep we visit is famous with our team for his coined phrase "retail details." We laugh with him over his love to use the term every time a new piece has even a hint of retail detail, but deep down, he is right. It's attention to little details in an item that adds value and separates a basic product from an exceptional product.

So we have adopted his term "retail details" and use it when we enhance ordinary products well beyond their basic manufactured design.

Making an ordinary product look retail is much more than slapping a logo on a left chest. We look to add retail details like a custom pocket on a tank top, custom zipper pull - or even the most minor details such as a custom woven hem tag, custom molded zipper pull, or private labeling a size tag on the inside of a shirt. These details are what make a company a retail brand, creates pride, and become conversation pieces. When we have an opportunity to get retail, we add that detail.

At ScreenBroidery, we pride ourselves on creativity. Adding retail details allows our team to perform at our creative best. Anyone can find items to put a logo on; only a few can make those same items retail. Contact one of our team members today to find out how our team can add retail details to your next project.
